Fed up with fire pits that only last one season? You have come to the right place! Our fire pits are not only large (70cm across!) and beautifully handmade, but are also built to last with a 5mm thick bowl, and an 8mm thick hot forged and fully welded stand. Many garden centre options are only 1mm thick with hollow stands, which rust through in a matter of months - we get asked to repair them all the time so decided to make our own.

Available in 3 sizes: 50cm, 70cm and our huge 90cm design!

The fire pits are supplied in raw steel, the surface of which will rust over time for a nice weathered look. Being so thick, it would take at least 30 years (if not a lot longer) to rust through, unlike cheaper mass produced versions. The bowl is also seperate from the stand, so can be turned upside down to prevent rainwater collecting inside. We also have a waterproof cover available, which will keep water out of the bowl leaving any ashes and wood left in the bowl dry.

Please note, this is a large and very heavy item - the bowl weights 26kg and the base is 6kg, as such they are only available for collection from our Andover workshop, or for delivery on a pallet at a cost of £75.

We have designed a range of cooking grates to go with our fire pits, turning them into the perfect outdoor cooking surface. They are made from thick 3mm steel plate, and work great for cooking on directly or holding pots and pans. An integrated handle allows for easy removal or postion adjustment around the edge of the fire pit.

They can be used singly or in pairs, allowing maximum cooking area or leaving half of the fire open for marshmallows or adding logs.

Available in 3 styles:

  • Full bars - great for BBQ!
  • Half bars - cook sausages and eggs together for the perfect campfire breakfast
  • Full solid - great support for pots and pans

The cooking grates are made from carbon steel, which needs to be seasoned before cooking on to make it non stick and to prevent corrosion. Heat over a fire or in the oven set to maximum teperature, and apply a light vegetable oil (not olive) to the surface and allow to smoke off. After this is done a few times, the surface will be seasoned to a black colour, much the same as you would do with cast iron cookware.

We recommend keeping cooking grates undercover when not in use to avoid rust.
